La fecha decisiva para la edad es el día en que se exhibe el perro. Si la fecha de nacimiento del perro es el día en que se expone, el expositor puede elegir la clase en la que quiere inscribir al perro (a más tardar el día de cierre oficial de las inscripciones). En cuanto a exposiciones celebradas en un mismo lugar durante varios días es deber del expositor inscribir a su perro en la clase apropiada (a más tardar el día de cierre oficial de las inscripciones.)

 

The decisive date for age is the day the dog is exhibited. If the date of birth of the dog is the day on which it is exposed, the exhibitor can choose the class in which he wants to entry the dog (no later than official closing day of the inscriptions). As for exhibitions held in the same place during several days it is the exhibitor's duty to entry his dog in the appropriate class (no later than the closing day registration officer.)

 

Clase Intermedia (C.I.) Para perros mayores de quince meses y menores de veinticuatro. Pueden inscribirse los que sean Campeones en otros países y quieran optar al título de Campeón de Puerto Rico de la FCPR.

For dogs older than fifteen months and younger than twenty-four. Those who are Champions in other countries and want to opt for the title of Champion of Puerto Rico of the FCPR can register.
 

Clase Abierta (C.A.) Para perros mayores de quince meses. Pueden inscribirse los que sean Campeones en otros países y quieran optar al título de Campeón de Puerto Rico de la FCPR.

For dogs older than fifteen months. Those who are Champions in other countries and want to opt for the title of Champion of Puerto Rico of the FCPR can register.
 

Clase de Campeones (C.CH.) Para los ejemplares mayores de quince meses, que hayan obtenido el título de Campeón de Puerto Rico, Campeón Internacional de Belleza de la F.C.I. o Campeón Nacional de Belleza de una sociedad canina reconocida por la F.C.I.
Previa justificación del título, podrán optar al C.A.C.I.B. en una exposición internacional.

Los perros que ya tengan homologado el título de Campeón Puerto Rico de la FCPR, solamente podrán ser inscritos en Clase de Campeones.

Los títulos de Campeón Joven, Gran Campeón Joven o Campeón Veterano de Puerto Rico, no facultan para competir en esta Clase.
For dogs older than fifteen months, who have obtained the title of Champion of Puerto Rico, International Champion of Beauty of the F.C.I. o National Beauty Champion of a canine society recognized by the F.C.I.
Previous justification of the title, they will be able to opt for the C.A.C.I.B. at an international exhibition.

Dogs that already have the title of Puerto Rico Champion of the FCPR approved, can only be registered in the Champion Class.

The titles of Young Champion, Great Young Champion or Veteran Champion of Puerto Rico, do not authorize to compete in this Class.
 

Clase de Veteranos (C.V.)  Para aquellos ejemplares que tengan más de ocho años.

For those specimens that are more than eight years old.
 

Clase de Jóvenes (C.J.) Para aquellos ejemplares que tengan más de nueve meses y menos de dieciocho.
For those specimens that are more than nine months old and less than eighteen.
 

Clase de Jóvenes Campeones (C.CH.J.) Para aquellos ejemplares que tengan más de nueve meses y menos de dieciocho, y tenga el título de Joven Campeón de Puerto Rico homologado.

Los perros que ya tengan homologado el título de Joven Campeón Puerto Rico de la FCPR, se deben inscribir en Clase de Jóvenes Campeones, o categorías adultas si la edad lo permite. 
For those specimens that are more than nine months old and less than eighteen, and have the homologated title of Young Champion of Puerto Rico.

Dogs that already have the title of Puerto Rico Young Champion of the FCPR approved, must be enrolled in the Young Champion Class, or adult categories if age allows.
 

Clase de Cachorros (B) Podrán participar los perros que tengan más de seis meses y menos de nueve.

Dogs that are more than six months old and less than nine months old can participate.
 

Clase de Muy Cachorros (A) Podrán participar los perros que tengan más de tres meses y menos de seis.
Dogs older than three months and younger than six may participate.
